The 1950 Chevrolet 3100 Pick Up.

This truck is owned by one of our local customers, who needed to have some special tires that he purchased south of the boarder, imagine that. He wanted to add that look of what a true 3 inch white wall tire would do for his truck. The tire he decided to go with is a Coker Classic 6.00R16 polyester/steel classic; it’s a tube type with a 6 ply rating.

This 1950 Chevrolet 3100 has several upgraded features that were available back in 1950, 3 rear back windows, and complete chrome grill, here is a list of the complete specs for the 1950 Chevrolet 3100. The 216.5 cubic-inch six was tweaked to put out 92 horsepower at 3,400 rpm with 176 ft-lbs of torque at 1,500 rpm. These trucks continued into 1955 and remained on sale until March 25, 1955, when all-new early V-8 pickups were announced by Chevrolet.

  1. The true reason why l did this, was that it was a gamble, boys did not know. It was book, they just had no concept, but when it came in. It was like this is totally different, spent an hour and half putting them tires to good use along with the tube that provides a 6 ply rating. Not many shops would be able to deliver our professional service, with the above average quality owners of these types of vehicles command. The investment as an owner is not cheap, but it is all about the pride on how good it looks. Showcasing what you love, in the above case he drives it daily weather permitting!!

Thank you Howard!!!! leave us a reply....
